"The central theme of Dense Piece is density, the creator-performers focus on their shared world and its set of rules, within which they destroy and build, stumble, collide, heat, recycle, fall, terminate in themselves, but above all, exist honestly. The physicality of the performance is indirectly brilliant and virtuosic: there is no desire to show off; the incredibly skilled and talented performers simply allow it to happen when the process calls for it. By prioritising research in this way, by allowing rather than wanting, the work also allows the viewer to take in a wide range of information from the music, movement, bodies, and light. Dense Piece has established itself as one of those abstract dance performances where the performers keep their personal voices, leaving all convulsive will in the dressing room, devoting themselves to the presentation of their research.
The democratic way in which the fresh collective works, regularly changing tasks and roles, is also evident in this work. The pulsation of the performance, the play with tension and energy, reveals a world that has certainly existed before, and all that the dancers do is let us see it." Levente Lukács, curator

AHA Collective
The six members of the AHA Collective have been working together since 2020. Four of them - Barbara Eyassu-Vincze, Márton Gláser, Imola Kacsó, and Vivien Piti - studied together in Győr. Then they continued their studies at SEAD in Salzburg, where they met the two other members of the collective: Balázs Oláh and Luca Kancsó. They took part in classes and creations prepared by guest teachers, during which their professional and personal ties strengthened and deepened. After moving home (to Hungary), they started working as freelance dance makers. They danced in various projects, while it remained important for them to think together and to sustain and develop an idea and sensation over a longer period of time. They were motivated to create a platform that would constantly draw on their creativity, where they could think together in the long run rather than on a project basis. Their plans include organising different workshops where they can share their interests with local contemporary dancers. They are also interested in collaborating with like-minded collectives.
It is important for them to work together on the basis of friendship, respect, and trust, and to create a community with a solid foundation.

Members of the AHA Collective regularly teach and give workshops in art schools and festivals, such as Győr School of Dance and Fine Arts, Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy, Ozora Festival, Sziget Festival, Kontaktland Festival.
In addition, they are all involved in other activities outside dance: artistic communication, stone carving, transcendental meditation, ashtanga yoga, psychology, farming.
In the near future, they aim to create a joint workshop series where they can share their individual and group interests with participants
“During our studies, we have been exposed to different influences that indirectly inspire the functioning of our collective. We want to bring this sense of an organic organising medium to the workshop participants.”
